In order to develop well-rounded and capable people, we offer varied school sports and extra-curricular activities as an essential part of your child’s education. Sport is a significant aspect of life at Sackville, where we offer a varied programme throughout the school in PE and Games lessons.
Our main team sports are football, cricket, rugby, hockey, netball, basketball and volleyball. We arrange fixtures with other schools most weeks and look to develop team captains from all year groups.
Education that goes beyond the classroom.
As well as clubs and societies throughout the week, on a Friday afternoon for Years 7-9 we have our activity sessions further extend your child’s passions. Options include horse riding, fencing, swimming, climbing, trampolining, and mountain biking, among many other activities. We are also a licenced Duke of Edinburgh Centre and from Year 9 your child can enrol on the Bronze award.
We also offer a fantastic range of hands-on learning experiences, from bringing in renowned speakers, authors or athletes, to school trips to experience plenty of cultural opportunities. These invaluably help supplement classroom learning across many subjects, including: English, Drama, Humanities, Languages, Music, PE, Mathematics, and Science.
